The Fork N Cork at the Riverview Mansion is the hotel's on site eatery. A casual and cozy, exclusive ambiance, we cater to our hotel guests first and foremost and others by reservation only. We strive to serve a taste of local with a cornucopia of farm-to-table produce. Our specialty is a tasty Bison Bluffs Farm burger or steak from Cobden, IL and Pope County's very own Tanglefoot Ranch freshwater prawn.

Also available in our restaurant is a variety of artisan meat and cheese platters that will go perfect with that nice bottle of wine. We also serve the area's tastiest burgers and most delicious pizzas! Try the ShrimpFest pizza! Enjoy soups, salads, hand-cut fries and loads of appetizers. Enjoy our great desserts and homemade pies!
The Lounge features wines from nearly every Southern Illinois winery. For those with a more exotic flavor, you'll find hundreds of French and other European bottles to choose from.

The grand Riverview Mansion Hotel in Golconda
is a historic treasure with an eclectic bohemian vibe.
Nestled in the heart of the Shawnee National Forest and along the Ohio River, the Mansion was recently heralded as one of the most significant architectural gems in the region.
This boutique hotel boasts charming Victorian suites, a cozy little lounge and a charming restaurant – the Fork ‘N Cork Bistro. Owners Tony and Beth Eckert enjoy producing fresh charcuterie plates for patrons exploring the wine trails. Creative soups and salads, pizza and sandwiches are also part of the tasty, varied menu.
“This is not bar food,” Tony said. “Nothing is deep fried.”
Hungry? Try the heaping mound of Choucroute Alsacienne or the Double Mansion Cheeseburger – a full pound of Angus beef thoughtfully garnished.
Wraps, appetizers, wings and brats can hit the spot if you’re not looking for a large meal. There are also plenty of vegetarian options like hummus, loaded baked, and assiette fromage.
Before you over-indulge, you may consider adding a delicious, homemade desserts and coffee to your bill, as well.
The bistro also doubles as a wine and gift shop. “You’ll find more Southern Illinois wines available here than anywhere else,” Tony said. “There are many Californian and European selections to choose from also. Nothing’s better than a fine wine with a classic bite. Bon appetite!”
This hotel is a unique destination for those in the know. The Levee Lounge is like no other hotel bar.
It’s famous for an incredible selection of local and regional beers complemented with more than 200 fine craft and imported beers. The biergarten deck has live music every weekend in the summer. There are regular wine tastings and other special events, too.
“Without a doubt there is no place like this within a three hour radius,” Tony said.
