John Gilbert was a mayor and banker of Golconda and was the original owner of this fabulous mansion. It was fitting that we named this most elegant Victorian room in his honor. Marvelous mauves and flowers abound. A king size bed sits in the south alcove of the very large room. An ornate mantle is the centerpiece of this lush space. This room also has a sitting area, antique furnishings and chairs. All of our hotel rooms are 'en suite.' Relax in luxury with the oversized bathtub! Interestingly the bathroom was built out of a room next door and as such boasts another lovely oak mantle next to the throne. A relaxing escape without even leaving your room!
